Training Dates

Volunteer mentors who have been formally accepted into our programs are required to attend a 2-hour training session before they can be matched. It is a great opportunity for volunteers to meet other new Bigs, learn what to expect and how to be the best mentor you can be, and ask any questions you may have. We cover topics such as effective communication and relationship building with a child.

Volunteer training sessions are held at our 245 5th Avenue office located between 27th and 28th Streets. The office is located on the 7th Floor, Suite 702.

Just bring an open mind and do not forget to sign in at the front desk when you arrive! Light refreshments will be served.
